From 1–28 August 2011, Kiddy Land staged Jackie’s Marché (Jackiezu Marche) as a limited Kumano Gakkou (“Jackie Bear”) shop inside the Echika Omotesando event space — just inside Tokyo Metro Omotesando Station’s A3 entrance. Shibuya Channel covered the pop-up on 3 August 2011 as a summer-break character retail stop aimed at fans who already knew Jackie from picture books and goods.

Why a premium Jackie shop landed in Omotesando

Jackie’s Marché was pitched as a premium shop with Japan’s densest Jackie assortment, designed to recreate the storybook world rather than act as a generic character corner. After a well-received first store in Osaka Umeda, the Omotesando run was framed as the series’ first Kanto appearance — timed for summer so more visitors could walk into Jackie’s world without traveling west.

Hours ran 10:00–21:00. Inquiries routed through Kiddy Land Harajuku Cat Street (03-3409-3431). Bandai copyright lines closed the original page.

What sold — and what was exclusive

Coverage highlighted three crowd favorites:

  1. Jackie’s Marché exclusive plush — ¥2,415; Osaka’s top seller, restocked for Tokyo. Soft enough that the write-up lingered on touch as much as looks. One display Jackie wore a staff T-shirt printed with the Umeda opening date and carried a shopper bag.
  2. Jackie bread set — ¥735; pumpkin Jackie bread plus maple David bread, inspired by “Jackie’s bakery,” made with natural yeast. Cute enough that staff joked it felt wrong to eat. Weekend-only sales from 12:00.
  3. Candy cans — ¥609; eight designs, strawberry-milk candy inside, Jackie faces on the tins so empties could become cases.

Limited original T-shirts, interior boxes, stickers, and weekend photo sessions with Jackie rounded out the floor. The page pointed readers to an official event detail link for schedules.

Who it was for

Editors called Jackie goods popular with women in their 20s and 30s as well as kids — a work-commute after-hours browse as much as a family stop. Omotesando station adjacency mattered: the shop sat inside the subway event space, not on the avenue sidewalk.

If you are watching basin-level weekend foot traffic on the Shibuya Crossing live camera, this Echika pop-up lived one train stop away on the same youth-retail calendar. Travelers stacking Shibuya culture stops with a longer outing can compare options in best day trip from Tokyo.
