SIBCH.TV is an independent guide to public live cameras across Japan — and a growing library of trip notes that use those streams as evidence, not decoration.
What this site is
Each camera page pairs a real-time public embed with an original location story: what you can see, where the camera looks, local history, daily life, seasons, landmarks and nearby views. We do not host video files. We curate streams that are already public, then write the context most embeds never give you.
Japan comes first. The architecture leaves room for a small set of remarkable world views later, but the editorial center of gravity stays here: Tokyo crossings, stations, airports, onsen towns, Fuji horizons, Kansai nights and quieter prefecture cams.
Who Sibi is
Sibi is the little traveller at the heart of the site: a calm, curious companion who helps you move between live views without turning the page into a tour-bus shout. As editorial guide of the blog, Sibi also writes packing, day-trip, cost and connectivity notes — always with a bias toward decisions you can check against a camera before you spend a day or a suitcase wrong. How we choose cameras
Streams earn a page when they are watchable, geographically clear, and useful for mood or trip planning — not because a keyword is fashionable. We prefer stable public sources, honest framing, and places people actually want to understand: scramble crossings, lake Fuji gambles, harbour lights, temple plazas, resort snow and arrival airports.
When a feed goes offline, the guide should still help. Location writing, maps and related cams stay up so the page remains a useful reference, not an empty player.
How the blog fits
The blog answers travel questions the camera pages should not own: packing lists, eSIM versus pocket WiFi, Haneda versus Narita, day trips from Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, and what a week or fortnight costs. Camera pages keep place-level live-camera search intent. Blog posts keep trip-planning intent. Cross-links go both ways when a tip is checkable on a stream.
Editorial standards
- No fake viewer counts, fake chat, or invented “live” claims.
- Original location and travel writing — not scraped brochure paste.
- Descriptive internal links to cameras and related guides.
- Clear limits: a webcam cannot smell ramen or guarantee Fuji.
- Updates when routes, seasons or page facts need correction.
What we are not
We are not a booking engine, not a paid destination ranking farm, and not a social network wrapped around a player. If a page exists, it should help you watch better or plan better — preferably both.
