In mid-2013 Shibuya Channel was tracking Hanae（ハナエ） — a 19-year-old Fukuoka-born pop singer whose whisper-voice and translucent tone pulled listeners in after a single hearing. On Friday, 28 June 2013, staff attended Great Hunting Night VOL45 at Shibuya O-nest, a recurring showcase from Universal Music’s GREAT HUNTING new-artist development section.

The room and the bill
Great Hunting Night skewed toward female artists, and the crowd spanned teens through fifties — wider than a pure idol pit, tighter than a festival field. oui_oui opened with mysterious melodies still ringing after the first notes. Then Hanae appeared in a black-and-white check one-piece to a full house cheering.
Set highlights: covers, new singles, and crowd games
Opening stretch. From the first song, audible breath between phrases became part of the atmosphere — intimate in a live club context.
「渚のシンドバッド」 (Shiosai no Sindbad). Hanae’s Pink Lady cover kept the familiar melody but rearranged it until it felt unfamiliar again — adult shading with girlish residue, which the original review singled out as her signature tension.
MC block. After two cool-toned performances, she warmed up to the packed room. She plugged upcoming activities, including a 7 July Sunshine City event in Ikebukuro with two-shot photos and handshake sessions — then joked that free time should be reserved for her (“promise!”), getting laughs.
「恋は神聖ローマ」 (Koi wa Shinsei Roma). Due 24 July 2013, produced by Shinbu Shūichi（真部脩一） — known for work including Shinkō Hōsō Kukō Sen and Koto no Yūbe. The repeating “Roma~♪” hook stuck; occasional adult expressions on stage matched the slightly grown-up single concept.
「Boyz & Girlz」. Pop flirtation with a sing-along moment on the “soko de UFO ga~” line — audience and staff both joining the “UFO~” chorus.
「神様はじめました」 (Kamisama Hajimemashita). Also Shinbu-produced, built around girlish vulnerability with startling lyrics. Hanae spun a bright red umbrella while singing; the room swayed along.
「変幻ジーザス」 (Hengen Jesus). Closer with surreal lyrics, dance-inviting melody, and cute choreography — a staff favorite. Hanae taught the chorus choreography; her shout-out to the back rows (“that feeling matters!”) turned the finale into a shared dance.
Thirty minutes total, but dense with the odd Hanae world the channel was betting on.
Shibuya live infrastructure
O-nest sits in the Shibuya live cluster that feeds the same youth traffic visible around the scramble. Watching district movement on a Shibuya Crossing live camera is a different scale than a 30-minute club set — but both describe the same basin where small venues launch artists before they jump to PARCO event floors.
