On 10 February 2011, the Valentine-week women’s vocal festival Freesia and Chocolate occupied ten Shibuya live houses at once. Shibuya Channel’s share page framed the night as a genre-crossing vocal fest — rock, pop, acoustic, R&B, hip-hop, reggae — with roughly fifty women-fronted acts and a chocolate handout for every attendee.
Why the multi-venue model mattered
Instead of one stage and one queue, the festival treated Maruyama-cho and Dogenzaka as a single walking circuit. You could catch idol heat at O-EAST, then slide to O-nest, O-Crest, or duo MUSIC EXCHANGE for a different register of the same night.
