On Saturday 13 December 2014, Japan’s first official LINE FRIENDS STORE opened at Jingumae 4-32-13 on Meiji-dori — glass frontage, character signage, and more than 400 exclusive SKUs across 1F + B1 (~155㎡).
What filled the floors
1F leaned playful: face cushions (¥2,500), plush (¥3,500+), figures, LINE Rangers goods, sticky notes, diaries, stamp sets, USB characters, eco bags, bottles, mugs, tees, and packaged sweets. A custom 3-meter Brown sat by the register on wood-panel floors printed with Brown footprints.
B1 shifted adult: Muurla wood trays, Bookbinders note sets, Gustavsberg cup sets, and Swarovski jewelry — including a ~¥390,000 crystal figure. Opening-day lottery: first 200 visitors, 50 won non-sale Metallic Brown.
Hours listed: weekdays 11:00–21:00, weekends/holidays 10:00–21:00. Phone: 03-6434-0597.
Meiji-dori retail still drains toward scramble density on the Shibuya Crossing live camera. Merch runs belong in average trip to Japan cost.
Harajuku store history later moved; treat 2014 details as historical.
