Bibliothèque opened in 2010 as a public “place of knowledge and experience” — roughly 6,000 books and magazines the owner had collected since youth, free to browse for a ¥500 use fee with deep-roast Old Beans coffee.
The room
About seven minutes from Harajuku Station, down a quiet residential slope into a half-basement at Sendagaya 3-54-2. Shelves mixed first editions and out-of-print titles with cookbooks, film books, and 1970s–80s overseas fashion magazines. A large monitor ran Ennosuke Ichikawa documentary material; an Ichikawa Kamejiro bookshelf held actor-selected titles. Event and workshop space rotated on the Super Edition calendar.
